Agent Readiness & WebMCP AuditIs your website ready for AI agents that take action?

The WebMCP Audit finds the forms on your website and checks whether they are described for AI agents. You see the forms on the pages with the most clicks first.

AI agents

Agents search, send inquiries and place orders.

AI agents operate websites on behalf of their users. To do this, they need to understand what a form does and which details it needs. With WebMCP, a website describes exactly that. WebMCP is currently a draft of the W3C Web Machine Learning Community Group, and Chrome is testing it as an origin trial from version 149 (as of 15 October 2026).

SearchAn agent searches the shop for a product in the right size.
ContactAn agent sends an inquiry or requests a callback.
CheckoutAn agent adds products to the cart.

Forms

searchVIU counts identical forms only once.

During the crawl, searchVIU records every form on every URL and assigns it a type, such as search, contact, newsletter, login or checkout. If the same form appears on 50,000 pages, it counts once.

When rendering, searchVIU sees which forms are described.

searchVIU detects whether a form is described for agents via attributes and which WebMCP tools a page registers via JavaScript. If a page still uses navigator.modelContext from an older version, the audit reports it. The current draft uses document.modelContext (as of 16 October 2026).

What gets clicks comes first.

searchVIU links every form without a description to the clicks of its pages from Search Console. That way you start where most visitors land.

    Technical foundation

Agents need the same foundation as search engines.

An agent cannot operate what it is not allowed to fetch or cannot read. searchVIU checks the robots.txt, rendering and agent fetches in your logs in the same project.

Frequently asked questions about Agent Readiness

    What is WebMCP?

The draft of a web standard that lets a website offer tools to AI agents in the browser, for example a product search. It comes from the Web Machine Learning Community Group at the W3C, and its editors work at Google and Microsoft. Chrome is testing WebMCP as an origin trial from version 149 (as of 15 October 2026).

Does my website need this already?

That is your decision. WebMCP is a draft in testing and is not mandatory. The audit shows you where you stand and sorts the forms by clicks. That way you can start with a few forms and estimate the effort.

    Which forms does searchVIU recognize?

Every form the crawler finds on your pages. searchVIU classifies it as search, contact, newsletter, login, checkout or other.

How is this different from the searchVIU MCP server?

Via the MCP server, your own AI tools access your data in searchVIU. The WebMCP Audit checks your website so that third-party AI agents can operate it. Go to the MCP server

Is this included in the price?

Yes. Agent Readiness and the WebMCP Audit are part of SEO Monitoring, from €399 per month with 50,000 URLs included. You can find all prices on the pricing page. Go to pricing
