SEO Change Monitoring Your website changes all the time, and searchVIU keeps watch.

Page Watch fetches your most important pages continuously, spread across the day. If Page Watch detects a noindex or canonical flipping, the email usually arrives within a few minutes.

Why continuously

One release hits many pages at once.

A new template, a filter, a CMS update. Changes like these often land on hundreds of pages at the same time. Page Watch spreads its fetches across the whole day and spots a cluster early, without waiting for the crawl to finish.

    What Page Watch checks

Website change monitoring with over 40 signals on every page

Page Watch looks out for the changes that can cost you rankings and clicks. From the status code to a script that suddenly loads from a third-party domain.

Indexingnoindex, including when set via JavaScript, blocking by robots.txt, new nofollow
Canonical and hreflangCanonical to another host or path, missing or duplicate, hreflang removed
Content and templateTitle, H1, main content, structured data, internal links, top search term in the title

    Confirmed first, then reported

When Page Watch finds a change, searchVIU fetches the page a second time. An alert is only created when both fetches match. Unconfirmed changes go into the log and never into your inbox.

    Single page or cluster

Page Watch reports important pages individually and the rest when changes cluster.

Page Watch distinguishes between two groups. Your most important pages are the start URLs and the pages with the most clicks. There, a single confirmed change is enough for an alert. For the other monitored pages, what counts is a cluster, for example the same change on several pages within an hour.

      Which pages

Which pages does Page Watch monitor?

Depending on the project, Page Watch monitors from 1,000 pages, and more for larger projects. The full crawl checks all other URLs every week.

        More about the SEO crawler
        • Start pagesall start URLs of your crawl profiles
        • Top levelspages linked directly from the homepage
        • Top pages by impressionsfrom your Search Console
        • Top pages by external linkspages with the most backlinks
        History per URL

The history shows what changed and when.

For every page, searchVIU stores the screenshot and HTML from the weekly crawl, for six months by default. Page Watch fetches and the Search Console history come on top. That way you can see when a change went live and how clicks developed afterwards.

          Frequently asked questions

How many pages does Page Watch check?
From 1,000 pages depending on the project, and correspondingly more for larger projects. The full crawl checks all other URLs every week.
How often is a page fetched?
Page Watch spreads its fetches evenly across the day. Every page is fetched once a day, your most important pages three times. With 1,000 pages, searchVIU fetches roughly one page every minute. Once a day you get a summary.
          What counts as a change?
A signal changes its state, for example from index to noindex or from 200 to 5xx. Small text changes do not trigger an alert. If a page's main content collapses, Page Watch reports it.
Does Page Watch put load on our server?
The fetches are spread across the whole day. If your server responds with 429 or 5xx, searchVIU throttles automatically. We set the speed for your project.
How does the alert reach us?
By email, in Slack or Teams, or via webhook into your own systems.
How much does Page Watch cost?
Page Watch is included in SEO Monitoring, from €399 per month with 50,000 URLs included. You can find all prices on the pricing page.
