Keyword Map

Every keyword has a target page, and searchVIU checks whether it ranks.

In the Keyword Map you define which page should rank for each keyword and market. Every week, searchVIU compares this with the URL Google actually shows and with the latest crawl.

A different page ranksGoogle shows a different URL for the keyword than your target page. This often points to duplicate content or internal links that lead elsewhere.
Keyword missing from the titleThe main keyword is no longer in the target page's title, for example after a change in the CMS.
Target page not indexableThe crawl finds noindex, a canonical to another page or an error status.

Rankings and monitoring

If the title changes, Page Watch reports it.

searchVIU measures rankings once a week. If one of the top search terms of an important page disappears from its title, Page Watch reports it. The email usually arrives within a few minutes of Page Watch detecting the change. The weekly crawl also shows you every page where a ranking keyword has disappeared from the title.

How often does searchVIU measure rankings?

Once a week, and search volume once a month. Daily measurements are possible, just ask us. SEO Monitoring reports technical changes to your pages sooner. Page Watch checks the most important pages continuously, spread across the day. The full crawl runs every week.

Where does the ranking data come from?

searchVIU queries Google search results via the data provider DataForSEO, per keyword and market.

Can I maintain keywords and target pages myself?

Yes. The Keyword Map is editable. You set the keyword, market and target page yourself.

We already use SISTRIX. Do the two fit together?

Yes. SISTRIX stays in charge of visibility and keyword data, searchVIU of crawling, monitoring and your own rankings with clicks from Search Console.

How much does Rank Tracking cost?
