Using the searchVIU application
This section describes how searchVIU GmbH processes personal data when you use our online applications and services (for example the searchVIU platform, Quolity and Promptmate), where searchVIU acts as the controller for that data.
Note on customer data. Where you or your organisation submit data into the application to be processed on your behalf — for example website content we crawl, connected data sources, or content entered into workflows — searchVIU acts as a processor, not a controller. That processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, not by this privacy statement.
What data we process
When you use the application, we process:
- Account and registration data — name, email address, organisation, and login credentials.
- Authentication and security data — log-in records, session information, and IP address.
- Usage and activity data — the actions you take in the application, the configuration you set, and technical logs generated during use.
- Billing data — where applicable, billing details and subscription information.
- Support and communication data — the content of requests you send us and our correspondence with you.

Retention
We retain account and usage data for the duration of your contract and delete or anonymise it thereafter, subject to statutory retention periods (for example tax and commercial-law retention obligations for billing records). Technical logs are retained only for as long as needed for security and operational purposes.
